D204 joins Will County school district push for 1% sales tax hike to fund building work

Will County Regional School Superintendent Shawn Walsh said to get this measure on the ballot, resolutions must be passed by school districts that represent more than 50 percent of the student population in Will County.

Strang said 129,850 students live in Will County, so the districts need meet a minimum threshold of 64,926 students to reach the goal.

With its approval Monday, District 204 alone adds 11,712 students.
