Naperville woman won’t withdraw from ballot despite DuPage County error that makes her ineligible to run for state seat

Montgomery’s post goes on to say, “The NAACP has experience dealing with these kinds of things and will be helping so I can focus on the voters. ... Please Vote Val, more now than ever we women need to vote!”

The residency issue surfaced Monday when Wehrli filed a lawsuit against the DuPage County Election Commission and its members, Cathy Terrell, James Lowe and John Boske, in DuPage County Circuit Court.

The suit charged that the county “miscoded an apartment building located at 1621 Country Lakes Drive, Naperville, Illinois to distribute ballots to voters at that address permitting them to vote in the incorrect Representative District and Legislative Districts for the November 6, 2018 general election.”
